Raptor Strip Tillage Tool

The standard front-folding toolbar design and vertical folding row units provide a narrow transport width of 13’ 6” and compact storage.  A hydraulic jack, CAT 4 bull-pull hitch, safety chain and transport lighting contribute to easier storage and safer road travel.

Wing gauge wheels with 9.5L-15 stubble guard tires on the toolbar provide added stability through the field.

Pull-type ST models without a fertilizer system feature 380/90x46 single wheels and tires on the undercarriage for greater flotation and added stability. 

The 3-point hitch connection provides a compact design for greater maneuverability and toolbar stabilizer wheels provide added stability and tool-free adjustment for quick and convenient depth control.

3-point models can be equipped with an optional flex frame kit for 12-row 36” and 38” folding models which allow the wings to float 15° above and 5° below horizontally to follow uneven terrain.

Additional options for 3-point mounted toolbars include a rear hitch that can tow up to 14,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight with 1,000 lbs. of tongue weight and optional liquid or dry fertilizer shank attachments.

Free-floating row cleaners follow ground contours independently from the lead coulter and clear residue from the strip. The curved finger design prevents trash from wrapping and width adjustment allows the operator to adapt the row cleaner to varying conditions.

Each row cleaner utilizes 4-bolt hubs with triple-lip seals and tapered roller bearings.  Standard add-on weights allow the operator to increase down pressure if needed.

The 16” diameter crowfoot design prevents mud, rocks and other debris from building up, allowing the operator to run in varying conditions.

An optional rock guard crowfoot depth control wheel with reinforcing rings adds strength in rocky soils.  An optional heavy-duty solid steel depth control wheel with a standard scraper is available in-lieu of the standard crowfoot wheel for added flotation in looser soils.

The Raptor strip till tool is available with spring-cushioned auto-reset trip mechanism (Model 2030) with 2,000 lbs. of point load pressure or shear-bolt protected shank (Model 2015) with 5,000 lbs. of shear pressure.  The Model 2030 is ideal for soil conditions with rocks while the 2015 model is ideal for use in rock-free soils.

The replaceable 2 ¼” cast point and 1 ½” wide integrated wear bar provides long-term, trouble-free use.  Replaceable shank wear plates are standard to protect the shank from abrasive soil.

Tool-free width and angle adjustment allows the operator to easily change the width of the strip and height of the berm.  The tool-free adjustable spring down pressure and angle adjustment of the closing coulters provide quick and easy on the go strip-till enhancements.

Each crowfoot conditioning basket rolls independently from the other and features tool-free adjustable down pressure.

An optional trailing 15” conventional Rolling Harrow basket enhances tillage action or an optional 15” rubber press for added soil firming is available in-lieu of the standard crowfoot conditioning basket.

Both fertilizer systems feature a standard Raven RCM ISOBUS controller which allows the operator to control the rate from the tractor's virtual terminal screen.  This system integrates with section control and pre-loaded field prescriptions.

The undercarriage on both fertilizer systems features 380/90 x 46 dual wheels and tires maximize flotation and provide a stable ride during road transport.

2-section control for each product and standard blockage monitors alert the operator on the ISOBUS screen when a row unit is blocked.  The application system is powered by a hydraulically operated blower fan that feeds the 2” dry fertilizer plumbing. 

Each 6-ton tank is standard with a 4-point load cell scale system that integrates with the ISOBUS controller for accurately tracking dry fertilizer applied and provides convenient rate calibration. 

Standard flow ball monitors allow the operator to easily monitor the flow to each row.  For quick and easy filling, a standard 3” quick fill is located at the rear of the tank with a tank volume indicator.
